QBE Foundation Climate Resilience Challenge 2026 for Youth-Led Projects | Social Shifters posted on the topic | LinkedIn
Social Shifters are delighted to announce the return of the QBE Foundation’s Climate Resilience Challenge in 2026! As part of a new three-year partnership with Social Shifters, the QBE Foundation Climate Resilience Challenge will support the most innovative youth-led projects and startups in #Europe, #theUK, #Canada and the #UAE that are building practical, inclusive responses to climate-related challenges. We want to see fresh approaches to climate resilience and adaptation challenges in communities - solutions with long-term potential that place local people, in particular disadvantaged and marginalised groups, at their core. We’re particularly interested in solutions that relate to: Community preparedness and recovery - Helping communities prepare for and recover from climate-related events and displacement. Food, water and energy security - Building local resilience in food systems, clean water access, and affordable renewable energy. Nature-based and environmental solutions - Restoring or protecting natural environments such as green spaces, wetlands, and woodlands. Inclusive climate tools and technology - Supporting disadvantaged or marginalised groups to access climate information, resources, and support. Community health and economic resilience - Building sustainable local livelihoods that can withstand and recover from climate disruption. The most compelling entries will be able to demonstrate clear, measurable evidence of impact in their community already, alongside a feasible pathway to achieve broader reach. To be eligible your startup must be genuinely youth-led (young people must have clear decision making authority) and must be able to demonstrate measurable social outputs and impact. The QBE Foundation Climate Resilience Challenge 2026, open to founders based in Europe, the UK, Canada and the UAE, will host one pitch finals where 8 young founders will pitch for 3 grant funding awards of €10,000, €5,000 and €3,000. All finalist founders will receive 1-2-1 pitch coaching as well as the potential to progress in the QBE Foundation's own entrepreneurial ecosystem of support! Sounds good?
